KMI Brands Samples
Below are samples of my work during my internship at KMI Brands, including TikToks I created, some PR mailer packages I was part of, and mockups I drew for e-blasts in collaboration with the in-house digital designer.
Throughout my internship, I created three TikToks for Noughty. Using three trending sounds, like “bombastic side eye” and “sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty,” I put Noughty’s spin to it. By participating in these trends, I put Noughty’s TikTok page on these trending sound’s grids to increase overall initial brand awareness.

E-Blast Mockups

Every couple weeks, I proposed an idea for an “e-blast,” a visual-heavy email that we would send out to journalists to pitch our products to them in a creative and captivating way. Below are two e-blasts I proposed to the digital designer that incorporated TikTok’s haircare trends around April 2023.
Building off of the scalp oiling TikTok haircare trend, I created a flow chart of Noughty products that we would like to recommend if they would like to follow this trend.
Some trending haircare ingredients were rosemary oil and caffeine and some haircare practices were body and neck serum. I grouped these together and highlighted Noughty products that contained these ingredients and Noughty’s body serum and neck & décollete serum.
PR Mailers
Plantopia Food Supplement Mailer
Towards the end of my internship, I solo endeavored a mailer project to journalists with Plantopia’s food supplements. Plantopia’s supplements have four ranges: Detox & Purify, Relax & Calm, Rest & Sleep, and Energise & Uplift. In order to give journalists a full range of how Plantopia supplements can improve one’s day, I sent journalists two contrasting ranges–for instance, Rest & Sleep and Energise & Uplift. I also wrote them a handwritten note to go in the package, then shipped them off via Citisprint or Royal Mail. Completing this project by myself from start to finish was my first hands-on PR experience and I was able to see and be part of the process of generating earned media.
One project that I was part of in the beginning of my internship was the Sephora Plantopia Mailer for when Plantopia first launched on Sephora UK online. This project was a collaboration between the PR, Brand, Marketing, and Product departments, and I was involved in the elementary stages by creating a crossword puzzle for the Plantopia Post, a self-care newspaper the rest of the team and I created. Then, my supervisors and I curated together a care package of plants, eucalyptus leaves, the Plantopia Post, and a brown bag of products for the journalists to try out.
